Open the trunk and remove the latch trim cover by prying off the plastic pull handle and then taking out the fasteners securing the cover. Make a mark or scribe a line around the trunk lid latch to serve as a reference point for the installation procedure. Disconnect the electrical connectors and the emergency opener cable lock cylinder, then detach the retaining bolts and remove the latch. Installation is the reverse of removal.
